They have placed it under the stewardship of RAWCS which means Australian individuals and companies can now receive tax deductibility for donations to the Green Gecko Project. australian volunteers for international development (avid)
AVID is part of the Australian Government's volunteer program, and places skilled Australian volunteers in developing countries in the Asia Pacific region in line with Australian Government development priorities and the Millennium Development Goals. Green Gecko currently has one AVID volunteer, Clementina Velasco, working on community development and outreach support, and has previously hosted three volunteers – Claire Coxon, Melissa Crawford and Pouv Pich - working in areas including community development, social work, youth work, and sports and culture.

The AYAD Program is an Australian Government, AusAID initiative that provides skilled young Australians with the opportunity to volunteer overseas in Asia, the Pacific and Africa. Green Gecko has previously hosted one AYAD volunteer, Clementina Velasco, working on marketing and funding development.
